The Gift Chest started as a home based business in 2005 run as a partnership by husband and wife team Paul and Amanda. Our business originally developed as we have a very young family and Amanda was looking to returning to work but due to childcare costs being so expensive they started to look for other options. The Gift Chest quickly outgrew our home and now has a shop at Since The Gift Chest commenced we have received a number of awards for our products and service. In February 2006 The Gift Chest received The Business Of The Month Award from CBEC (Caboolture Business Enterprise Centre) and was nominated and made it as Finalist in the Caboolture Shire Excellence in Business Awards in August 2006 in the Categories of; New Business and Retail Less than 10 Employees Award. The Gift Chest was awarded the Excellence in Business Award for Business under 10 Employees as well as the overall winner for Micro Business of the Year for the Excellence in Business Awards for the Caboolture region in 2007.
